Although, I wasn’t sure to come to eat at the restaurant Tokyo Tina. Because, not to understand the concept of this place or also thinking, if it was going to be good or not. In fact, such a pity thoughts. Due to, this Japanese restaurant has been to me, one of the most tasty modern Japanese street food experience in Melbourne.

Before, to visit Tokyo Tina, I don’t know how many times that passed by and did not get in. But also, for the reason that on Chapel street, there are many good spot where to eat. And certainly, I have tried some of them. Therefore, also for this cause, delayed my arrives at Japanese restaurant. After that, the wait was over.

Samurai Gourmet At Tokyo Tina

Once, I entered to the restaurant, the first thing to realize that is very cozy. Then, the staff led me to my table, to ask for a Japanese beer to begin. By the way, very nice. Meanwhile, I was drinking my beer, also was preparing, to order the feast Japanese food.

Pork and Kimchi Gyozas

Surely, my first Gyozas with kimchi that I have ever tried because, with Pork is often. Besides these two ingredients played very well together. In short, they are super good.

Spanner Crab & Ramen Egg Tostada

Another surprised was Spanner Crab with Ramen egg tostada. In other words, it was very nice and also the first trying something like talking about the ramen egg tostada.

Wagyu Beef Tataki, Ponzu & Horseradish

Great Japanese food, always is well received by Samurai Gourmet. In fact, this Wagyu Tataki was incredible and I loved with the ponzu sauce. As a result, you must ordered at Tokyo Tina.

Diy Pork Belly Bao, Pickled Daikon, Teriyaki, kewpie The best at Tokyo Tina

However, the best of the night was Pork Belly Bao perfectly cooked, plus the citrus of pickled Daikon and sweetness of the teriyaki sauce. Surely, a delicious Asian sandwich.

Crispy Sticky Eggplant, Red vinegar & sesame

Indeed, I wasn’t expecting to ordered the Eggplant. But, how the Japanese food was so good, I did not have another choice. Therefore, Once it was sent to my table, I tasted a supper yummy vegetarian option. In short, sweet, sour and tasty crispy eggplant.

  1. Interesting and I never heard of ramen egg tostadas…..Sounds like something that I should find around Phoenix AZ. Here I’ve found birria ramen at a few places. I’ve had bao before but I never saw a DIY bao before…cool!
