First of all, the Conservatory is the finest buffet restaurant in Melbourne. Besides, it offers diverse international cuisines, such as Japanese, Italian, Chinese, Indian, French, and British. Not to mention the fresh menu “from the ocean” for lunch and dinner only. Moreover, it’s open for the three most important meals of the day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In addition, you can spend your time in one of the most classic British rituals, the “Afternoon Tea.”

On the other hand, you can also have the “Beverage Packages” with Conservatory Classic for $40pp for 2 hours, with selected sparkling wines, white wine, red wine, local beers, soft drinks and juice selection. Or go for the Premium Package, $55pp, the same as the first pack. But with better-quality alcoholic beverages. Besides, there is a cocktails option; however, it has to be ordered by one. In other words, you do the same as you do in a bar or restaurant, asking for a drink.

Samurai Gourmet at Conservatory

Let’s now go to my experience at the buffet restaurant. In fact, it has a stunning Yarra river views. So, try to get the most close to the windows to seize this nice view. Besides, with marble floors and lavish décor, Conservatory is as much a feast for the eyes as it is for stomach.

After that, I came here, in breakfast time at 10:00am. Therefore, I just want to warn you, the earliest to come the better it is. In other words, this meal begins at 7:00am and ends at 10:30am. So, if you arrived at 10am as I did, you have 30 minutes only to enjoy your breakfast. At least whether you don’t mind to eat in a rush but is really more enjoyable. In short, don’t be like me, even if I got full enough, I was a little against time.

British Breakfast

Above all, I think at Conservatory is so influenced from the classic British Breakfast. Although, also you can find others food as fresh fruit, salads, omelettes, desserts etc. But, when I went around picking up my food, look at how ended my plate, literally as a classic British Breakfast. In fact, I just missed out on the black pudding instead the buffet restaurant had chicken sausages.

On the other hand, you have unlimited food. Besides with the odds in your favor to order coffee as you pleased. However, the only thing you have to worry is about the time. As soon it is the arrives you will feel most fully satisfied and also having a more enjoyable experience.

My Favourite Food at Conservatory

Surely, those were the best. That is to say, the omelette was so good, plus the roasted tomatoes with parmesan cheese on the top was perfect. So on, with waffle with salted caramel and banana that was very nice. To ends with pan fried mushrooms that was also very delicious. In short, a great buffet restaurant totally recommended for the people of Melbourne.

  1. That looks wonderful. If I am ever in Melbourne I would love to go there. Afternoon tea is out because I don’t eat wheat and low carb though! It does look absolutely fantastic.
