After building his reputation in New York, Masato Shimizu decided to open his omakase sushi restaurant in Bangkok. Besides, Sushi Masato focuses on bringing high-quality ingredients from Japan. Hence, it has become to many people the best sushi restaurant in the capital of Thailand. As a result, Sushi Masato has been awarded One Michelin Star by the Michelin guide since 2021.
Moreover, any Japanese restaurant where I went to eat while in Bangkok. Suddenly, the name Sushi Masato came to the table because I always asked where I could find the best sushi in the city. So, the answer was pretty much obvious Masato. For this reason, I made up my choice and booked at the sushi restaurant. However, there is something very important to know that you must make a reservation within 15 days prior minimum because this sushi spot is so busy and most of the time fully booked.
But the good news is Sushi Masato counts three sushi tables, on the first floor you will find chef Masato himself. On the second floor, it will be chef Kanno and on the third-floor chef Kurokawa. Therefore, if you missed the reservation with Masato, still you have a chance to eat here with the other two amazing chefs.
Now, let’s go to the food. The sushi at Sushi Masato was so good and also the incredible experience of two hours and a half. Dish by dish expressed with a nice chat with the chef that explained each of them. In short, what a wonderful dinner.
