Certainly, two times were enough to realize that Hawker Hall is a very tasty place to eat Malaysian and Singapore food. But it is not only me who can say that. In other words, the crowd that comes every day. Surely, it has the same answer like me. Because, the food is good and very good. Besides, the variety of twenty eight different beers to be enjoyed with Hawker food, it’s a must.

In fact, the first time at Hawker Hall, it was a random choice. To share a good moment with friends, food and beers. But, it wasn’t in my mind that was going to be, on the list of restaurants that you must visit in Melbourne, on Samurai Gourmet. On the other hand, some signals were telling me that it was the right place to eat. Due to, crowdy and noisy, requires a lot of customers and also means that they are making good food here.

After that, I decided to go once more to eat at the Malaysian restaurant. But this time alone, to fully get deep into Hawker food.

Samurai Gourmet at Hawker Hall

Then, a glorious dinner with beautiful dishes. Clearly, it gave a delicious experience to Samurai Gourmet. Therefore, it was the decision to come one more time. But not, to make sure the food is good. In fact, to enjoy it once again.

Malaysian Hawker Fried Chicken

Surely, a nice dish, wrapping the fried chicken wings in lettuce. Besides, the addition of pickle cucumber and dipping into sauces. In short, a vary tasty good choice to start, but the best of all, it’s perfect to share with friends.

Rice Noodles with Beef & Black Bean

Another, pleasant choice at Hawker Hall was the rice noodles with beef and black bean, very simple. But, yummy for sure.

Penang Duck Curry, Peanuts & Eggplants the best at Hawker Hall

However, the star of the night at hawker Hall, it was duck curry with rice. Due to, the curry was nice and the duck so tender and tasty. Besides, a touch of peanuts and eggplants greatly improved the flavors of such as wonderful food. As a result, it was the favorite dish of Samurai Gourmet.

But, it wasn’t all. In fact, as I said before that came twice here and more food I tasted.

Kottu Roti, Stir Fried Roti, Chicken Tikka, Shallot & Curry Sauce

Certainly, dilemmas start with not being sure, in what to choose. Because, the Kottu Roti was another dish that Samurai Gourmet fall in love at Hawker Hall. In short, it was super delicious and I can assure you will love it, as well as the Penang Duck Curry.

Barramundi Fillet, Spiced Tomato Curry with Turmeric Potatoes

Perhaps, with a little less enthusiasm I will still recommend the Barramundi Fillet. But just for those who love fish. Because, being honest, this dish was the only one that I felt flat. In other words, there was not much flavor on it, but don’t get me wrong, the fish tastes as it should. However, sometimes I just go for what I like the most.

Chicken Tikka, Mint Yogurt, Chili, Lemon & Pea Pilaf

In short, a roasted chicken covered with species, beside to a tasty rice, lemon and mint yogurt. Surely, the most simple way to describe this dish. Moreover, I assure that is really spicy but also very tasty. Besides, if you mix it with mint yogurt and coriander leaves, the Chicken Tikka gets better. Indeed, it’s so good. In other hand, I will recommend it, only for those who can stand spicy.
