Since my travel to Istanbul, I have found some authentic Turkish food in Melbourne. Hence, there are nice places where you can find very typical Turkish cuisine. Such as the fine dining restaurant Tulum and also the spot that sells the best gozleme in the city at Koy. However, at Komur I felt like, again I went back to Istanbul.
In fact, at Komur I tried the best kebab “Aldana” cooked in a charcoal grill as in Turkey. Besides, the flavours were the same as there. Moreover, the chicken wings, cutlet lambs and skewered lamb fillets were the icing of the cake. As a result, it has been the best traditional Turkish food that I have eaten in Melbourne.
Samurai Gourmet at Komur
Certainly, the Turkish restaurant Komur is quite cozy and with a cool casual environment. In effect, nothing to fancy where you will feel as at home, enjoying a tasty Middle East feast. Further, it’s located in 446 Mt Alexander Rd, Ascot Vale at 30 minutes away from CBD.
Aldana Kebab the best at Komur
Surely, the pride of Komur this kebab is the best here, and you can eat it in a wrapped or on plate. But the master who made this beautiful Turkish food recommend to taste it in the wrapped. As a result, the lamb mince with spices cooked over a charcoal grilled is the best here.
There is another dish that you have to try at Komur, for sure the chicken wings. In fact, they are very nice, marinated with lemon juice and spices.
Definitely, a dish that reminds me one of the night been in Istanbul. Besides, Lamb shish represent very much Turkish culture and how they eat their food. In short, this a traditional dish in Turkey that is consumed every day there and of course, I suggest you to eat it at Komur.
Karma Shiraz – Boğazkere 2017
Well, if I was eating Turkish food, I must pair my dinner with a Turkish wine and this one is so nice. Besides, this bottle of Shiraz costs only $11AUD in the market and is very delicious. As a result, this red wine match beautifully with the food at Komur.
In fact, lamb cutlets was a gift by the restaurant to me, because we got along quite well with chef and his wife. In short, these cutlets are very tasty hence another dish to try at Komur. In addition, they also make baklava at Komur and are so good.
