I came to Vesper for the simple reason that it is a well-known cocktail bar in Bangkok. Besides, Vesper takes its name from James Bond’s favourite martini. Moreover, being included in place No.46 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2021 and No.19 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2022. Therefore, to have a drink and judge the cocktail bar with a reputation in the capital of Thailand was a must.

In fact, I visited Vesper already, trying one of the best cocktail bars in Bangkok. Such as BKK Social Club and Tep Bar. Which marked something in me because they were unique and very difficult to compare with other cocktail bars. In other words, in these bars, I stayed until they closed due to I was getting great cocktails and having fun with the bartenders. So, I got over there memorable nights in Bangkok.

Now, let’s get back to Vesper. Before I entered the cocktail bar, I saw the award from Asia’s 50 Best Bars. Then, I was welcome and led to my table. After that, they served appetiser to me, and I ordered my first cocktail, Beginning End Beginning which did not comply with my expectations. In short, the cocktail was nothing special. Soon, I went for my second drink at Vesper ordering Dirty Clean. Although the flavour improved, it was just an ok cocktail to me.

After that, my night at Vesper had ended, and I did not feel the chemistry with the bartenders—nothing to let me stay. Moreover, the cocktails were just fine to be polite and respectful of those currently working there. As a result, Vesper was an average cocktail bar to me, but perhaps to you, maybe better. We all have different likes, and I share only my personal opinion of what I experienced in the place.
