La Puccia Salentina was born in the region of Puglia that is a circular bread made with pizza dough and black olives. Besides, it was widespread to Salento.

It is made specifically in Lecce that consists in stuffed bread with poor ingredients such as eggplants, tomatoes, peppers, rocket and a slice of cheese. Although, nowadays you can find la puccia filled with any kind of food. But it is considered as Italian fast food.

In my travel to Lecce, I ate the puccia in two places. The first seemed more as a restaurant and the second one as a fast food place.

It was the first place that I ate La Puccia Salentina. In fact, it was the most delicious that I tried in Lecce. Besides, the restaurant has a cocktail bar, also you can find salumi board and differents kind of Italian dishes.

As as result, this is the best puccia that I ate in Lecce. Certainly, I felt traditional flavors from Salento. In other words, so tasty sandwich with authentic italian taste.

The second place is called La Puccia is like a fast food. Where it has many different type of ingredients. Moreover, you choose the food that you want to fill your stuffed bread. Indeed, La Puccia Salentina here, I did not like it much.

Probably, the ingredients that I chose were not the rights but still, I did not feel authentic food from the city. Besides, it seemed to me like fast food where I can eat in any place.
