It’s true that many of the best sushi restaurants in the world are in Japan, especially Tokyo. Therefore, I was lucky to find the sushi restaurant Tsukiji Sushidai Honkan casually because it became the best sushi I tried in Japan. Indeed, I haven’t eaten in all of them. But this Japanese restaurant still was the best and most delightful for its taste and also because it was affordable, high-quality sushi.

Tsukiji Sushidai Honkan Location

I never expected to eat in this sushi restaurant because I was heading to Sushi Keita, One Michelin Star. However, it was closed. Hence, on my way back to my hotel, I saw a queue of Japanese people waiting to get in at Tsukiji Sushidai Honkan, which is five minutes away from the Tsukiji Market, on 6 Chome-21-2 Tsukiji, Chuo City, Tokyo.

The best Sushi I’ve tried in my Life

Certainly, this Japanese restaurant was the best sushi I have eaten so far, even comparing it with One Michelin Star Restaurant, Sushi Rakumi in Kyoto. Still, Tsukiji Sushidai Honkan was more delicious and, for me, better quality. In addition, you will save a considerable amount of money because you can eat very well for 9000 yen. Moreover, most customers are Japanese people only, and it is very rare to see foreigners. That is an excellent signal to eat great sushi.
