First of all, it’s important to know the story of Nobu, a contemporary Japanese restaurant. In fact, it all started with the Chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa who worked seven years in Tokyo, in a sushi restaurant. Where then, He got an offer to open a restaurant in Lima. Due to of this, the touch of Peruvian influences into his dishes. As a result, the creation of his unique style.

After that, ten years later the Chef Nobu opened Matsuhisa in L.A. And where the friendship and business relationship with Robert De Niro began. Therefore, they opened Nobu in New York City, in 1994 that is was a real hit and the rest is story.

Today, we can find Nobu restaurants in cities around the globe. Indeed, this place is now the world’s most recognised and acclaimed Japanese restaurant. Besides, the good news that Nobu is in Melbourne.
My Experience at Nobu Restaurant

First, I have to be honest because the famous Japanese restaurant is expensive but worth it. Besides, a nice view of the river and into the Crown Casino. On the other hand, I came here two times, the first with not much money and the second time not so worry about my wallet. That is to say, it’s possible to eat at Nobu with a bit of cash, precisely $80 AUD to enjoy a high quality lunch or with money to tried everything at dinner.
Bento Signature Box

In fact, when I did not have much money, I wanted to eat smart at Nobu. In other words, I tried a tasting menu into a Bento Signature Box that were mini dishes to a price of $60 AUD that was within my reach. By the way, the bento box can be found in lunch time only and there are two more Deluxe $69 AUD and Matsuhisa Sushi $50 AUD.
Moreover, I accompanied my lunch with a cocktail pretty good, by the way. To spend $85 AUD included all, what I said. In short, a varied and delicious lunch to a reasonable price.
Let’s Drop the house for the window at Nobu
Certainly, this time money wasn’t a problem at the Japanese restaurant. That is to say, I ordered everything what I wished and I’m going to explain right now.
Sushi Nigiri Experience

The beginning was sushi where I spent around $38 AUD for these 6 pieces. Besides, as a omakase experience where the chef makes the sushi in front of you but not private just for me. In short, a pretty good sushi, although I have been in Japan and there, it’s much better.
Nobu Style Wagyu Tacos

Well, with this dish I was a bit surprised. Because, the price was high $40 AUD and when I saw the mini wagyu tacos I felt disappointed. Due to, it seemed to me too small for the cost. However, my sadness was until the first bite because when I ate it, these nobu tacos were so good. As a result, I enjoyed it but I was still hungry.
Clover Valley Short Ribs
Yes, this one is big to a fair enough price $64 AUD. Because, it’s an amazing dish so tasty, plus the Peruvian touches as aji panca, tomato gastrique and aji amarillo corn salsa. In short, after the short ribs, finally I was full but I can’t leave a table without a dessert.

Whisky Cappuccino

To finish the dinner at Nobu a magnificent dessert to a cost of $14 AUD. In fact, it’s pretty good sweet, some alcohol, creamy and spumy plays a nice fusion that even full I could end it. Therefore, I strongly vouched.
